Welcome to the Seattle Met beta. Please email us with issues or feedback!
The most interesting runway looks from recent seasons are right in line with the aesthetic of this longtime Seattle boutique: Boxy cuts, asymmetrical draping, proportions that are slightly “off,” and textural, dark and moody colorways spiked with pale neutrals and buttery pinks. Not that the shop’s ardent followers are surprised that the rest of the world has caught up; thanks to shapely French coats and avant-garde ideas about skirts and sweaters, the well-heeled, sartorially mature women who shop here have been out ahead of the crowd for over two decades. And in case it’s not clear: No, Baby and Co. isn’t a maternity shop. And yes, you will be asked to pay a pretty price for access to tomorrow’s styles today.
